Alicante Airport Parking - What Does It Offer?
The Alicante airport car park is a fully covered facility offering up to 4,140 parking spaces with a maximum height clearance of 2.10 meters. It is recommended that drivers of trucks, taller cars, and motorhomes use the long-term parking area. Additionally, there are many attractive parking areas around the airport managed by private companies, which, although located a bit further away, offer transfers to the terminal building and assistance from their employees.
The Alicante airport car park is divided into 4 zones: long-stay, general P1, express, and VIP. Each of these zones is described below.
Express Parking
To access the express parking area, take the ramp towards the departures area and turn left. Before entering, you must download a ticket. In this area, the first 15 minutes are free, and after that, you pay for every 60 seconds. Payment machines are located throughout the express parking lot and at the exit. This parking option is ideal for people picking up or dropping off travelers and has 80 parking spaces.
General Parking P1
This is an ideal area for short-term parking (up to 4 days) and is located just a few meters from the terminal building. It offers 2,600 parking spaces. Note that motorcycles are not allowed in this area; there is a designated two-wheeled vehicle parking area next to the long-stay car park. A ticket must be collected before entering area P1, and parking fees accrue by the minute from that point.
Long-Term Parking
The long-term car park is a few minutes' walk from the terminal building, with most of the area covered to protect vehicles from bad weather. There are designated spaces for oversized vehicles and campers. The cost for 1 day of parking is €14, with decreasing daily rates for longer stays. The maximum weekly rate is €50.
VIP Parking
Located on the 4th floor of P1, the VIP parking area is directly connected to the terminal and is fully covered. It offers 390 parking spaces, with a maximum daily rate of €21.
Outdoor Parking
Travelers can also reserve parking around the airport provided by private companies. These companies offer parking spaces in the immediate vicinity of the airport, providing flexibility and security for parked cars. They tend to have less restrictive regulations and often allow for longer parking durations compared to the airport’s own parking facilities. Using private parking is often more financially advantageous.
Before arriving, it is advisable to book a parking space through the NextPark website, which lists all verified parking options. Third-party companies typically offer the ability to cancel reservations, 24-hour monitoring, and free transfers to the terminal building.
